Hello Admin/All,

please help!

My wife applied for visitor visa (TRV) from USA in August (while she was travelling), now she got request to send passport. She is currently not in USA and no intention go to USA at this moment. She is in unique situation as she applied for visitor visa twice in Singapore but got rejected. Since I am Canadian immigrant and her immigration application is in progress, Singapore immigration officer has been rejecting her application. Officer in USA is kind enough to process the application after 4 months of investigation.

Would that be a problem if she sends passport to Los Angeles Canadian embassy even though she is not in USA? Note that since she used US residence address while she applied, she is bound to send the passport to US. If immigration office see the passport and find out she is no longer in USA and left the country, will they create any trouble for it?

Thanks in Advance!

in my opinion - do a letter explaining she left the US - send passport to country in which u place on application form OR even your residence country as they can access the file and issue visa.........u have 30 days to do this if your local embassy .

I beleive your local Embassy can process application as in 2011 i did application for my mother - i place the USA as country in which she was applying from , however they did not accept her application as she was not with me...i return home and send it to my local High Commission with a letter an visa was issue with no issues and this was her first application and approval.
