Unique Situation - Need Help

Dear Friends,

I have few questions. I applied for Canadian PR sometime in September 2010. My VO was Buffalo, USA.

Long story short, Buffalo visa office got shutdown and I was in middle of nowhere. After long time my file was transferred to Ottawa. Finally, out of nowhere in August 2013 (Almost after 3 years) I got medical request and RTPR fee request together. But, there is twist in the story. My wife was pregnant and we decided not to undergo chest x-ray as it can harm the yet-to-born.

Me and my wife had our medical done as soon as we got the request (except her chest x-ray). I wrote an email to the Visa Office and told them the situation that my wife is pregnant and we don't want to take any risk. I told them the expected due date which was in Feb 2014. After delivery I took my wife for chest x-ray. Within couple days I got an email from VO asking if the baby has born or not. I replied that she was just born few days ago and I have applied for her Birth Certificate, as soon as I get it, I will apply for her passport and send additional documents to you in order to add my new born to our pending application.

It takes almost 1 month to get the Birth Certificate and SSN in USA and then another month to get the passport. I have already applied for the passport as soon as i got the birth certificate and SSN.

My question is: Let's assume I send the required documents to add my new born and then they send me medical request for her. Let's say medical goes well.

Now the questions:

What are my chances to get the PR?

Can they still deny me?

Please comment. Thanks

As far as I can tell, they contacted you again in February 2014 becaused based on your letter/request possibly your file was marked with a BFD date of Feb 2014

Unless am missing something in your question, I don't see a problem here. Am assuming also you have completed your medical, your wife has also completed hers after delivery of your baby and they have not requested any remedial tests, correct?

Send the requested information for your newborn baby and if they send you medical for the baby complete that also. They may ask you for another POF as your family size has also changed. if you can meet that requirement and your BC checks okay, unless there is something else, I guess the next thing you should be waiting for will be PPR

You have been on this journey since 2010, you owe it to yourself to follow thorugh and see what the outcome is. No need speculating, just cross the bridge as you get to it.
