My husband and I recently got an ITA. He has a daughter from his previous relationship and he doesn't have any communication with the ex-girlfriend for six years now after she took away the child under his care. I have been reading forums regarding this that we just have to prepare a notarized letter of explanation and a declaration that he can never sponsor the child in the future since there's no way we can get the medical done he was blocked from facebook. Their last encounter was 2013 which did not end up good. Does anyone here from the Philippines has the same situation, if so, can you please share any tips and if you have been approved for your PR application?

Another thing is, we couldn't continue with our online application as we do not have any national identification for the child. We already completed our profile, but for the child, since we answered "NO" if she has a passport or national id, this wouldn't let us continue with submitting our complete profile. My husband only has the birth certificate of the child. Do you think this will suffice? We tried, just that we have to fill out the expiration date which we do not know if birth certificate has an expiration.
