Hello,

I am having a strange issue when trying to pay online. I get a payment rejected message, with the following receipt:

I have contacted the bank (BMO), and they state the problem is not at their end. It says my record shows a transaction of CAD 0.00 made by CIC. I called CIC but they are unable to help. they just say that it should work.

I wonder if anyone else is having this issue. Specially someone who has tried to pay recently, within a few days. I would like to know if its the system, or just an issue with me.

We paid the other day using Visa (from Scotland) and didnt have any issues. Stating the obvious but have you tried another card?

Just one thing kind of pops into my head. If this card is a debit card with a M/C logo, it won't work. It has to be a full fledged credit card in order for it to fulfill the transaction, or so I have been told. The other issue is that you might not have the correct CCV code (if it's asking for that) or you might be too close to your limit (some other purchase pending holding large sum of money, like gas purchase etc etc). Those are the only reasons I can think of off the top of my head for your card not to work.

Yes, it happens to me also.. what I did was to change credit card and it worked well...

I think that the payment can be done at the bank.. you can call CIC if you keep having problems... COC call centre 1-888-242-2100
