UMI number/medical update

Does IRCC really need the e-medical sheet or they only need the UMI number to update the medical?

I know we have to attach the e-medical sheet with our application incase of upfront, and using webform when it's requested, but my point is not this.

What I am saying is maybe they only need to update medical using the UMI number and don't need to look at the sheet that we attached. For example, if you mention the UMI number in your SOP.

Is it a possibility? Share your views and experience if you felt it too.

Yes they only need the UMI number, but that is written on your e-medical so you need to send in your e-medical sheet to them for them to see the UMI number. They won't accept it if you just include in the SOP (this is even assuming they were patient enough to read that portion of it).

The only way for IRCC to be sure the UMI is correct and actually yours, is for them to see it printed on the original e-medical sheet, with your details included.

Just giving a thought to the whole process, not worried about anything.

Well, on searching the UMI in their system they would see details including full name, picture, country and passport number, etc., so looking at a medical sheet is not important in my opinion.
