Hi All

Just want to know if anybody out there have an experience or at the moment going through the processing times from London. Coz according to the CIC Website London office is 7 months which I currently doubt given that it suppose to take 96 days to approve my sponsorship (to sponsor my husband) but it actually took 6 months before I got my approval from CPC Mississauga ::).

Many thanks

QTAZNGAL :)

Looking at the London VO spreadsheet it looks somewhere between 4-7 months. There have been a lot of COPR's granted within about 4 months. I am also going through London and am hoping that sometime towards the end of October I may have news.

Wow Sponsor approval took so long for you. Sorry.

Hi R151NG5UN

Yes took them 6 months can you believe that so thats why I am bit weary. When they say 7 months - well not sure if I believe that.

Good luck to you hopefully you get it soon. Let me know please.

Thank you

Hi Sweden

Many thanks for the link.

I have read that some of them got their approval to sponsor within 4 months of even less and some got their PPR request within the time limit. Since mine took tooo long for the approval (6 months) I am abit sceptical about the time line. with my luck mine will take 1 year. I was just trying to get a feeling/convince myself that it will be alot faster this time by looking at everybodies thread line. I will just have to wait just like I did before.
Thanks again Sweden

you're welcome - I hope it will be much faster for the second stage for you, as it did take a long time for your approval - so I hope that it will catch up on the second part... my file has been transferred there mid july and so far nothing, but it's only been 6 weeks, so as much as I want to see it approved and done with, I will also have to wait...
Some people got their visa in 2 months, that would be great of course, but I see that unlikely to happen. London VO has been very quiet the last 2 to 3 weeks, so I hope that suddenly everybody will hear at the same time! wishful thinking I suppose...
Good luck with your process,
Sweden

Hi Sweden

You know what, I have a feeling that mine will take a bit longer than 7-8 months coz now I remember putting on my application that I need for my children to finish school in England before moving to Canada so they can start fresh. I also said it will be ideal for us to move around the mark of July. It just dawn on me maybe thats way they took their time with the approval and they will take their time for the second process. What ya think? Do you think I am thinking right?

Thanks

I am not sure that it plays a role - but I don't work for CIC, so I don't know. They normally assess the files as they come in, but if your case is more complicated it might take a bit longer. But since you won't be moving before next year, I guess it doesn't really matter to you that you won't have the papers right away - because once you have it, you will have to go to Canada and land - so it might actually be better if they don't hurry too much!
In any case - wish you good luck !

Hi everyone

Does anyone know how long it takes for the London vo to stamp the visa into passport and COPR and return it back to the applicant in Sweden?

Thank you

Hi Yasiin, I don't know how long it takes, but it does seem like you've been waiting for ages. The only data point on the London spreadsheet indicates 16 days, but thats only one point. Have you tried calling them? Its feels like nothing is coming out of London lately ::) I hope you get your visa soon!

Hi Bryandd

I dont think you can speak to anybody in person in the London office I believe you have to write to them or email. I tried to call them several times using different numbers but no joy. I did have concerns with my application I thought gone missing coz I did not receive any communication from CPC or CIC regarding AOR. I even gone as far as calling Canada (like a help line) but they said that they could not help. all they said is wait.

Good luck Bryandd and Yasiin

You can't even call them!? They really don't make this process easy, or stress-free for applicants. Good luck to you too!
