The client ID number is for the spousal application processed in Canada, the B# is your file number for your visa office for the pr application.

My husband is my sponsor.. One question in the application for sponsorship Is what is his UCI/client ID. My husband doesnt know what to put? . He is naturalized citizen.

ok. ji ust called the cic and they told me that my husband can leave it blank just photo copy his citizenship card. thank u guys.. hope we can submit later or tomorrow..

Hey guys, just need some clarification.

I do know what my Client ID is. I received a file number but that does not begin with a B or an F. The end of that number contains my Client ID.

I am unable to log on to E-Cas using my info but I can log on using my husband's info and receipt #.

I also have a Y-Doc #. What number is that?

Written on my app was also a number that began with M? What number is that?

If it's the file/application number, there should actually be 9 digits following the B or F.

I found the one with a letter B followed by 7 digits (maybe because it was a long time ago when they migrated here) in front of his citizenship card. thanks!

I realized I wrote "followed by the B or F." I meant following, as in after - lol! I changed that in my original message. That's interesting....perhaps it was 7 digits at one point like you say....although the PR card number does have 7 digits after the letter/s: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?app=ecas&lang=en&redir=id_num.
