Hi!

Me and my boyfriend have been accepted to start our masters at UBC this fall, my student permit has been approved but his hasn't. He has haemophilia A, and needs factor VII treatment as a result which the goverment might thing is a burden for the canadian health care. I've been reading threads on this website but most of them refer to the PR. We will be starting in just 2 weeks from now and still no answer. Do you have any idea if his student permit is going to be denied/approved on time? is there anything you recommend doing in the meantime?

Unfortunately there's a very high chance he's going to be refused due to his medical condition and the costs to the Canadian health care system. Factor treatment costs are very high. How often does he receive them or need them?

There's really nothing you can do in the meantime but wait.
