Hello. My name is Gabriela. I want to apologize in advance if I put this question in the wrong section.

I am a student at Casal Aveda Institute in Austintown, OH, USA. I am completing a 1500 hour program in Cosmetology, and will be finishing in August of this year. I would like to move to complete an apprenticeship in Canada, and hopefully after have a job. I will be living with my boyfriend and his family while I am there. I am just a little lost with how to go about all of the legal processes.

I have already started applying to jobs in Ontario, all of which I have made sure know I am a U.S. citizen, and have a few interviews at a couple salons.

I am just questioning what I will have to do after I am given a job offer. I have tried to figure things out on my own but it's confusing to me so I figured I would try to see if anyone can help me get a little more information here.

Will I have to get some type of visa or permit before I can start my apprenticeship? When would I have to apply to the Ministry of Skilled trades if I have to? If so how/which one will I apply? Will I need one to live in Canada too? Am I freaking out about nothing?

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
