Typo error in the PCC

I have already submitted my application post ITA. I realize that there has been an error in the issuance date of my passport in the PCC by the authorities.

What should be my next step? Anyone who has encountered this can throw some light on how does CIC does with such a situation?

Should I apply for a new one with the rectified date?

What is the error?

I would recommend you to raise a CSE and send in a new one asap.

PCC is scrutinized quite seriously and I would recommend you to be proactive and get it sorted asap.

Its quite unfortunate on how government officials are so careless, one always tend to find error in every document issued by them.

Will CIC consider my request of rectified PCC through CSE?

Following the discourse, I received an email from CIC today morning stating that the additional document has been added to my file.

I can conclude that documents submitted through CSE do get added to the file. However they should be existing documents with minor changes. They won't accept an altogether a new document to support your application, in case if you have missed it earlier.

Just to append, cross check your details in your PCC with your passport. There are chances of an error or mismatch.
