Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everybody,
My program is 2 years post graduate with co-op. It is written on my acceptance letter like this. My program will start in 2017 january. I will have finished my program in 2018 september. 3 terms are study and 1 term (4th term) is co-op. Co-op will be counted toward my academic program. Totally I will study 4 terms (16 months). I think 4 terms equal to 2 years under CEC, right? My question is how long is my PGWP supposed to be?
Thank you.

Please, anybody who knows this issue?

Based on three study terms and one coop you will be eligible to apply for a three yer work permit upon graduation.

Good luck.

Thank you for answer. Do you know any someone who is like my condition?

2 academic years will qualify you for 3 years. Just be sure you apply with a graduation letter and not with transcripts. Your school will need to issue a specific letter for you for PGWP that will state your studies were 2 years full-time and all the other required details.

So, i should not send my transcript to CIC as well or can I send both graduation letter and transcripts ?

I think there is an option to choose between letter or transcripts. I sent only the letter and there was no problem. However, I've heard about cases where transcripts were taken as calendar months and not academic year. Especially in your case with one semester of co-op work I wouldn't send trascripts at all, unless it's a mandatory requirement.

Usually if coop is counted toward two academic years, i think there wouldnt be a problem. However, it is written start date and finish date on the letter as well. Thank you for information.

My letter stated though "One year full-time graduate certficiate program" and transcript doesn't have that. Anyway, it's your decision, you asked for help, that's my opinion and experience.

Best wishes

The registrar of my college said that it will be written not only program length, but also the dates within education time. is there no date on your letter?
