Hi,

I have recently taken IELTS and have a few questions to clarify:

1. Which option is better from immigration purpose between one two year PG certificate or two One year PG certificates? Would 3 year work permit apply in both situations or is first option better than the second?
2. What colleges/ universities in Toronto offer two year PG programs apart from HUmber?
3. If I submit my application in two weeks is it still possible to make it to May 2017 class?

Thank you!

You'll get same VISA (5 years) for both the cases. Go for the course/option that you're more interested in. (however in 2 one year courses you'll have to start 2nd course instantly after finishing 1st. AFAIK you can't get gap between those two courses)
About colleges, check it here: ontariocolleges.ca

you need to be more specific for any chance anyone answering (2) as opposed to asking about any random course which will not help when applying for a study permit. Any course has to be relevant to your qualifications but a 2 year course comes with less complications.

thank you for your responses.

I am looking for 2 year diploma certificate programs such as Global Business Management, Business Management that accept intakes on the basis of IELTS score. Since I do not have a good score - total 6 in all four sections, I believe I am not eligible for higher degree courses as it also requires GMAT. However, when I was looking at Seneca, Centennial, Humber, George Brown and Ryerson University, I came across several one year PG diploma certificate and two year certificate programs. I do not have any previous experience from India either. Applying for PG dipmoa straight after my BBA. I am confused as to which college has better placement opportunities and what strategy (two one year courses or one two year course) is safer in terms of immigration/work permit.

Has anyone come across instances where someone had a challenge getting 3 year work permit after doing two one year programs back to back?

2 years program sounds good. Just choose the program which is relevant to your past qualification. Write a good SOP and you must be financially strong.

Centennial is good, I guess.
