Two questions about my citizenship application

I submitted my Canadian citizenship application in Oct 2009. I moved to Belgium in Sept 2010. Before I left Canada, I changed my address to my friend's home. My friend just told me that she received a letter from CIC informing me to take the citizenship test in Toronto on Feb 22. My questions:

(1) My test date is not feasible because I am living abroad, so I have to change it. However, I can not dial CIC's 888 number from abroad. What shall I do now? Shall I ask my friend living in Toronto to call CIC on my behalf?

(2) I was informed to bring my Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or 5509) when I take the test, but I've lost this document. I know it takes several months to get a certified true copy of IMM 5292 from CIC. Am I allowed to take the citizenship test without the document?

Thanks a lot in advance for you help!

1) My advice, do not postpone the test date unless you absolutely have to. They will NOT schedule your test date at a time that is convenient for you. If you postpone, they will issue you another date pretty much like they did now, with short notice and the 2nd date might not be better for you than the first. Postponing can delay your application for up to a year.

2) Order the copy now. They will let you take the test without it but they will tell you to order it before you can do the oath.

Again, the oath is like the test, they will let you know short notice. Usually it is 2-4 months after the test but no guarantees. Again, they will not schedule it when it is good for you. If you postpone, it will delay your application and they will issue you another date whenever.

You can have your friend connect you with CIC's 888 number using 3-way calling but they will tell you the same thing I just did because that is what they told me when I was asking the same questions a couple of years ago.
