I traveled to Canada on a TRV last August and was planning on staying till November because my dad was at the hospital there. Last month I had to come back home to Cairo since I am also needed here to tend to my family. I thought I could leave them for like 3 months, I was wrong! So instead of using the return ticket (Toronto - Cairo) last month, my husband suggested buying a new return ticket (since I was going to travel again to Canada at a later date and come back home in November as originally planned as my dad is still seriously ill) and the penalty of changing the return costs like $ 200. Now I am about to travel again to Canada with the new return ticket and will come back with the first ticket. I hope I am making sence here.

To make things easier:

Ticket No. 1:

Cairo - Toronto - Cairo:
1- I used the Cairo - Toronto leg
2- the Toronto - Cairo leg NOT USED YET

Ticket No. 2

Toronto - Cairo - Toronto:
3 -I used the Toronto - Cairo leg
4 -The Cairo - Toronto leg NOT USED YET

Now I want to use No. 4 to travel to Canada and No. 2 to come back
But the problem is that the 2 tickets are with different airlines!

I asked the travel agent to print both legs (4 and 2) together on one form.

Do you think i will have a problem with the airline or the IO in Canada?
Thank you for your time

It shouldn't be a problem. If asked you can explain the situation to the border officer. My wife came on a TRV without a return ticket. She wasn't asked at all about her return plans. It all depends on the border officer you come across. Just tell them your situation truthfully and you'll be fine.
