Hi, I would like to ask to everyone... I am going to BC Canada as a Skilled Worker, and I am on my way of being two months pregnant. My questions are:

1. Can I still work in Canada even if I am already pregnant?
2. Will my employer terminate me if I arrive in Canada that I am pregnant?
3. What are the benefits I can get while working as a pregnant one?

I hope that you can help me so I can decide.

Thanks for your help.

It's very rare that any employer will want to hire someone who's already pregnant if you have not been working for them prior. Look at it from their point of view.. No employer will want to spend several months training a new employee only to have her take a couple of months of maternity leave later. They would have to retrain another new person all over again when you are gone. It's both time and money consuming on their end.

I believe (but don't take my word for it.. double check on that), but if you were not honest with your employer about your pregnancy when you were interviewing, then they can terminate the offer (also depends what kind of jobs you are doing, I suppose).

You can work in Canada, but whether anyone is willing to hire you is a different story altogether. You may also be able to find part-time positions, but most of them will not have much benefits (if any, at all).
