Hi folks

This is my case one more time.
My boss has two locations, and both locations have different names? My lmo is issued on 1st location, but I work on 2nd location.

He said that he jad a call to CIC and that they had told him that we r not braking any rule?
Somehow I don't belive him? And to be honest am.a little bit afraid.

Does he needs a new lmo where will be stated a name of 2nd location and address.

Thanks ???

Frankly, you can only work at the location that is stated in your LMO and or Work permit. It's that simple.

My old boss owns 7 locations, And honestly we were working all over the place at one point at months and even years at a time. But there came a point where we all went back to the original location stated in our LMO because our boss said he did not want to get in trouble with CIC.

So that's my experience.

Your boss should probably get you a new one or make you work in the location stated.

However, the CIC will not know if now one will complain directly to them, they are too busy to look at every little detail of everybody, that's just the reality.

This might vary depending upon your situation.

If location generally means "another city with in the same province", probably it is not big a deal.

I have SEEN and known friends with LMO's mentioning multiple cities with people working at one or the other location.

Having said that, updating LMO and then the actual work permit is a huge thing for an employer. It costs them around 1500 CAD if this needs to be done.
