Two Federal Files Together

Hello guys, Can any one help me with the confusion I have, thanks.
I received my AINP in Nov 2016, and applied for the federal PR in Jan 2017. In Feb 2017, I got the Express Entry invitation as well. I applied through the Express entry on end of February.
So, Is it possible to keep both files at the same time? or I have to withdraw one of them. I have not received my file number yet from the one I applied through AINP. Please advise me what should I do in this situation? thank you

Well... you can have 2 files processing at the same time. When one is close to being finalized, you would have to withdraw the other, but not before then.

If you don't have your AOR yet for the AINP application, you could possibly cancel in time to get a refund, if that were a concern. If it's not a concern, I would say "let it ride", just in case something goes wrong with the EE application.
