can we make two profiles? one, me (husband) as principal applicant including my spouse as dependent and the other one, my spouse as principal including me as dependent?

Just to increase the chances of getting picked.

Thank you

Multiple EE profiles won't increase your chances of getting ITA. What matters is your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. If your score is equal to or higher than the cut off number when the draw was announced, you'd receive an invitation. Simple.

if that's the case, then it doesn't matter if either both of us have a separate profile?
i was just thinking that CIC will disqualify our profiles because we have two.

But you have to consider the fraud angle. If you're married but say you're not because it will boost your PR chances, that's fraud. You would have defeated the purpose of applying because CIC will not take that lightly.

Good point, I concur. This definitely constitutes misrepresentation and could have serious repercussions.

no. what i mean is i will still declare my application with my wife as dependent...
so its like this:

First Application: Me (as principal holder)
Wife (as dependent)

Second Application: Wife (as principal holder)
Me (as dependent)

would that be ok?

I am in exactly the same position. My partner and I are both eligible for EE.

I am eligible for CEC and FSW 444 points and Boyfriend eligible for FSW with 431 points. On both we have added each other as spouses.

We assume that the 444 points will be selected first with the 431 a month or more behind. If this is the case we could subit the 444 immediately, then after 2 months the 431 might be picked. We would wait until almost the 60 limit is up to submit that. That means the 444 app will be 4 months ahead. If it gets approved we withdraw the 431.

I'm not sure it counts as fraud?

im not sure that makes much sense. as far as i know under the old route you could have different applications in, but once one of them starts progressing you were supposed to withdraw the other application(s) as you'd be creating unnecessary work. so, I'm assuming its the same now, if you get pulled out, your spouse should withdraw their application so there's only one in the system.

I don't think there's much point in having 2 applications with basically the same points in it. they'll probably get pulled out in the same draw so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

the only concern is if having two express entry profile is considered fraud?

I don't know how to call it 'fraud'. Both are legitimate claims however you are technically creating more work for the CIC team.

If we are both selected at the same time we will most likely use my boyf FSW claim instead of mine as it is 'more stable'.

did you already submitted two profiles?

Nothing yet has been submitted if you mean we have received an ITA. We both have active EE profiles.

kryton, in my case i have submitted my profile last January 2015, while we are still waiting for my wife's ECA. Then my profile expired last March 08, i just have to update it and submit it again. And my wife will also submit her profile this month. I also don't think having two profiles, mine and my wife's, will have a problem. Anyway, you also have two active profiles, maybe we'll double check our profiles and submit it right away. thank you kryton
