Hi everyone,
I am an Indian citizen working in US for the past few years. I had applied for both - FSW-2014 and PNP program (Nova scotia) with VO as New Delhi for both. I received PER recently but yesterday, I received an email from Visa Office in new Delhi asking for Police Verification documents, RPRF and Medical examination BEFORE 2014/12/11 for my PR application under FSW-2014 program

1. FBI Clearance: Unfortunately, for FBI Clearance, it is taking 12 weeks to get report (based on the information on FBI website). We already submitted the fingerprinting request but it is unlikely that we will get the original report before 2014/12/11 to the High Commission of Canada at New Delhi. We had submitted similar request to FBI in June, 2014. But the original of the report is attached to my other application (under PNP program). I am requesting them to either use the original FBI report sent with PNP application or give us more time.

2. Medical Requests: I have got my medical done but the doctor sent it only Federal application. Do we know how to get CIC/Visa Office use the same medical report for the Provincial (PNP) application? PLEASE HELP.

3. RPRF Fee or Federal: We paid the RPRF fee online for the Provincial Application. Can we request that it ( RPRF fee online for the Provincial Application) be used for Federal program as well.

4. We have changed address last month. I am also requesting them to update it.

PLEASE HELP me - we are little worried.

You didn't mention what stage your PNP application is. I am assuming your FSW application is ahead of your PNP application since you have now received MR for FSW application. At this stage, you should ask your VO to withdraw one of the applications (may be the PNP).

1. YOu should ask VO for extension. That's the only choice you have.
2. Once the medical is submitted, it will be in your file. So the same will be used by the VO until it expires. You won't be asked to do another medical regardless of the program/visa you are applying for another year.
3. RPRF fee needs to be paid only once per individual before/during landing for PR. If you have already paid it for PNP, then you can send a copy of the receipt (or proof of confirmation of payment from CIC) to the VO.

1. I am sure if both the application (PNP and Federal) are at same stage. The PNP application asked for Medical only. Federal additionally asked for some documents (PCC from USA and India) and RPRF ( as For PNP, these two documents (PCC and PRPF) were submitted along with application).
=========
ECAS Status:
=========
Federal application says: In Progress
1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 23, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on October 24, 2014.
3. Medical results have been received.

PNP Application says: Application Received
1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 20, 2014.
============

Which one do you think is AHEAD?

2. We got the medical done but doctors office seems to have sent it to IME number belong to the FSW application. How do we get CIC/VO to use it for PNP applications as well.

It appears both are at the same stage. However, what is surprising is that the VO did not ask you to withdraw one of them. That's usually the case. It appears that your VO is not aware that you have two applications with them. The first thing to do would be to let them know that you have two applications. I am not sure how long your VO is taking for passport request for FSW and PNP. So, that's something you should try to find in the forum and you should withdraw whatever stream takes longer.

As for the medicals, just write an email or send a mail to your VO explaining that the medical has already been submitted (also provide your IME# and your identifying information so that they can identify your file with them).

I am hoping that it is legal to apply for two programs for Immigration. Is it correct? Do I have to tell them or they will ask?

I did that. Unfortunately, I choose VO as New Delhi (even though I was in US -- my mistake) and it is hard to get any response from them.

What worries me if I pass the 60 days deadline for submitting medical report for Provincial application? (Is it ok to contact someone from CIC-National Headquarters regarding the medicals )

Also, you mentioned that RPRF fee is to be paid only once (even though we have two applications). Are you positive about it?

I just don't want to mess up at this last stage. Hence seeking help. PLEASE HELP
How much time does it take after Medical

It would be great if someone can PLEASE HELP with my queries.
1. Redo Medical for the second application (PNP) - medical already done for one application (FSW)
2. Do I pay RPRF Fees again for FSW (RPRF already paid for PNP online)?

As I have repeatedly said before, no need for second medical. Your medical will be in file with your application. Even people who have undergone medical for any visa within the past 1 year aren't asked to undergo another medicals for FSW. As for the RPRF fee, if you want you can pay again. But I still don't understand why you don't want to withdraw one of your application. It will simplify the whole process for you. The two applications are independent, but you will receive only one PR. So it doesn't make sense for you to have two applications going at this stage.

Thanks Namaste. I got it now regarding Medical.

You hit the nail on the coffin. Below is what my thinking is:
1. FSW application doesn't have PCC from US (original FBI report ) and due date is 12/11/2014 - There are chances that it might get stuck/declined if they don't agree on extension (so I cannot completely rely on it and withdraw PNP application).
2. PNP application restricts to Nova scotia (where IT jobs might not be plentiful), thus making FSW application seem better.

So, we intend to withdraw the one which takes longer (or doesn't get approved), but at this time, I am not sure which one is that. Once I get the passport request, I will promptly withdraw the other one. Does this sound reasonable?

(if you feel comfortable, can I PM you and talk about some more personal thing - you seem to be knowledgeable and very helpful - just a request)

Does Nova Scotia have a residential requirement for its nominee? You should check this info and make sure if there actually is a rule in place that restricts you to move to another province if you can't find a job there.

Also, I think it is better to discuss things openly in the forum.

Reason 1) I am not an expert. So, if I say anything wrong, then there would be other people to correct me if the discussion is open.
Reason 2) Open discussions help other people in the same situation. It is just knowledge and experience shared, which is the purpose of this forum.

Like I mentioned, I had applied for both - FSW-2014 and PNP program (Nova Scotia) with VO as New Delhi for both.

We were asked to get medical exams done for my PNP application on October 29, 2014. We had got our medicals done for the federal application on Nov 6 . Based on the ECAS status, Federal Application received the medical reports. I submitted a copy of these medical reports to Visa Office, New Delhi for the PNP application (via email, and surface mail)

Yesterday (Dec 15, 2014) Visa Office, New Delhi responded back stating via email that my PNP "application is in progress at the visa office in Centralized Intake Office and you will have to contact that visa office for any information on your application".

So, now I will have to contact CIO, Sydney but I am not sure to which address (email, surface mail) to send these documents ( medical reports etc.) for the PNP application. PLEASE HELP

Do I use
(1) for email
(2) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/sydney.asp mentions
Centralized Intake Office – Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
P.O. BOX 1450
Sydney, NS B1P 6K5
Canada
or
Centralized Intake Office
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2
Canada

Btw, I am not sure about the residency requirement for Nova Scotia (but I think that should be ok, since we shall sort of like the place)
