I am state government permanent employee in Punjab in India since 2001 and will retire in 2032. My son came to brampton on study basis .on his completion of course we were invited to attend his convocation ceremony in July 19. But we got refusal. Now again he invited us on his birthday ceremony but again refusal with same reason 179(b). I submitted NOC from department, CA evaluation report, form 16 of last 3 years,bank statement of 6 monyhswith 12000$, GPF statement of 18000$, 4000$ in son's account in Canada, complete family information that shows no other relative except my son in canada.I did not travel any other country. Can you explain the reason of refusal?

These could be the reasons:
1) you didn't show enough money
2) or your prospect in India is not good
3) family ties: because your son is studying in Brampton and you did not show any ties in India
4) You don't have any travel history
