Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi:

I have a job offer and even a contract from a company in Ontario, I'm looking to have a LMIA for this position. I studied Electronic Technician in my country but my position is like Scientific Instrument Technician, I have 7 years of experience in this occupation, the most near NOC would be 2243, but the exact code for my occupation actually doesn't exist I think, that kind of specific my occupation is.

The thing is, I saw 2 experimented consultants who have told me different things about the 2 types of Lmia:

Consultant 1:
- He rarely do LMIA for TW because pass rate is very low right now in Ontario, and takes like 4 months at least (just LMIA) + WP
- He rather will like to do a LMIA for PR, based on his experience pass rate is much higher than TW and would take less time, like 2-3 months

Consultant 2:
- LMIA for PR and TW would has pretty the same difficulties, pass rate, and processing time and because of that the consultan will try a TW LMIA because it provides a WP and also the possibility to get the score for PR.

The two consultants believes that I have good chances to get a LMIA based on my specific occupation but the first will do it for PR and the 2nd for TW, also the times they told me are different...

So, who is more closer to the real life situation and/or processing time?? What is the better option to me?

So maybe i am confused but you already have a job offer and contract from an employer? It will need to be the employer who applies for the LMIA , pays the 1000 dollar fee, advertises the position and so on.

Are the consultants planning to find you another position with a different employer or are they promising to persuade the employer who offered you a job to support an LMIA all for a fee ? Consultants have no influence on whether you get a LMIA approved, they are for a fee just facilitators providing introductions and helping with paperwork.

Always better to go for PR rather than a temporary permit even if takes longer in my view.

Hi thanks, I understand the things that you say, I know my employer have to do the LMIA and not me I got the contract previous to decide go for a LMIA but I'm not working. Based on the complexity of this application I would rather like to be assessed by an experimented consultant.

My main worry is about the "different" version I have right now by the 2 consultants about times and past rate, that's why I would like some opinions about it...
