Hey there everyone!

I'm Irish and on a year long working holiday visa which expires at the end of september. Any advice on how to stay here??? I'm literally trying everything!!!! I was going to apply for the Skilled Workers Visa as I have a degree in Graphic Design but was told that it takes 1-3 years to process, has everyone found it to take this long? My work place also cannot sponsor me so would anyone know of anywhere in Vancouver or the surrounding area that has sponsored? Also, does anyone one know of colleges or universities that will take applicants at this late stage? I've emailed a few and still waiting on a reply.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I don't know who told you that it takes 1-3 years to process a skilled worker application. Through London average 8 months, through Buffalo average 12, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/02b-skilled-fed.asp Still, that is more time than you have if your permit is expiring in Sept.

The best way to stay is if you get your employer to sponsor you. You can look into the provincial nominee program for that, see http://www.welcomebc.ca/wbc/immigration/come/work/about/index.page The employer could try to get your LMO and try to change your work permit to a regular permit. If the employer can not prove that you are special and they need you to do this job, they will not be granted an LMO. Then you can try the BC PNP with just a job offer from that employer, see what they say. If they nominate you under the PNP, then you can ask them if they can get you a work permit without the need of an LMO. Once you are nominated, you can apply for PR. If you must go back in the meantime, you can also arrange this from Ireland.
