I applied for PR through CEC last April. I am currently waiting to be called for my medical. My work permit is up in 40 days and I am trying to apply for a bridging visa but the forms online aren't really working. Is anyone else having this problem or am I just doing it wrong?? Please help I am in such a rush!!

Take a deep breath and slow down. You have 40 days, no rush. And it won't help.

The forms are not really designed for the BOWP, but you can search this forum for tips, or be more specific about what the problem is.

Some of the usual problem areas -

1 - are you applying to extend your stay as a worker?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp

2 - have you done the online eligibility questionnaire? You get a code...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/apply_online.asp?d=1&q=n

3 - when you check your eligibility, did you say
- temporarily - more than six months
- "yes" to "I applied for permanent residence to an office in-Canada and was determined to be eligible for permanent resident status (first stage approval)."
- and again, "yes" to "Have you been told by a Citizenship and Immigration Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?"

4- When you get to Your results, and see "Temporary Resident Visa", did you scroll down to see "Open work permit"?
