TRV Within Canada

Hi, I applied for TRV within Canada after getting open work permit and processing time for TRV has passed but my application still open. I sent mail to CPP Ottawa and they replied.

Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times

Any Idea how long it will take ?

looks like a background check is being performed. I think 15-25 days is the extended time.

TRV processing time showing 7 days, but almost 20 days passed and application still open and I am worry, as I need to travel on urgent

Any one knows I applied for TRV within Canada but processing time passed and no reply from CIC I sent mail to Ottawa office they give me following reply

I got this mail from cpc Ottawa regarding my application. To my surprise, the reply came in just two days.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

I applied for TRV on May 16. As I didn't get passport request, I sent an email to Ottawa Cic. I got the same response as yours. When did u apply? Please update if you get passport request.

Hey all, I got my passport request today. I have sent it through Canada post. Did anyone send it in recently and if possible, can they tell me how long it takes for them to return it? I addressed it to CPP-Ottawa instead of CPC, I hope that won't be an issue. Can someone please provide some input. Appreciate it.
