TRV within Canada application transferred to New York?

I hold valid work permit until 2016 and because my visitor visa expired long time ago I applied for new TR visa to CPP Ottawa. But it seems my application transferred to New York for review, Did anyone have this experience?

How did you know about your file being transferred to New York for review?

Request GCMS in order to know reason. I have seen few cases under FSW about such transfer and reason for that but nothing under CEC. It may be for interview purpose.

It has been more than one month and no response, ???

Can you please tell me how long your visa application took in NewYork? until you heard from them and they reuested your passport? Please share the full timeline. I am in a similar situation now.
