Hi everyone,
Last month my GF from China was refused on the reason below. Applied as extended family.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
Ordered GSMC notes and the note is : "The applicant's purpose of visit appears vague and poorly documented. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application."
We thought we had addressed this concern by providing a approval letter of her employer and providing documents to prove her current employer is a real company (documents proving business is legitimate) and showed that she has investments in her bank. We additional provided what we thought was detailed purpose of visit by providing planned trips (ex. 3 days in Montreal, 2 days in Niagara falls, 1 week in Toronto, etc). Thinking about this, I guess we didn't provide enough ties to back to China for her.
We are thinking of addressing this rejection point by adding the following points below to show that she will return at the end of her stay and additional ties home :
- Buying onward flight out of the country at the end of her stay
- She signed a new lease a couple months ago for 1 year for a store front for her side job of creating custom cakes (translate this contract and submit it)
- Letter from her detailing the above points, creating a even more detailed travel plan (Not really sure how much we need to add here) and just emphasize all the commitments she NEEDS to return back to
Advice would be much appreciated, last thing to note is, I'm not even sure if I'm interpreting the notes correctly, so please let me know if someone has been through something similar.
Thanks!
