Trv visa online

I am permanent resident in canada,and i hav applied my mother trv visa online within canada on sep 09,2016.i received 2 emails that ur applications hav been received,after sep 09,i didn't receive any email for updation on my mother file,she is in india but i applied in within canada,pls reply how many total processing time for visa...

Today i got email from cic please submit ur passport,dat means my mother visa approved or not,pls tell passport requested means....and where to submit passport.pls reply asap
