TRV Tourism (includes family visit) vs Family visit

My father is applying TRV to visit me here in Canada. Just curious, what is the difference between purpose of visit categories Tourism (includes family visits) and Family visit ... are there different set of documents to be prepared for these two categories.

FYI, my father is visit Canada to attend my graduation ceremony and off course for sight seeing.
