Hello,

I recently received my TRV (Tourist visa). My wife has Co-PR.

We both are travelling to Canada next month.
I want to know who can I apply for work permit (spousal work permit). My wife is planning to stay only for 2 months (until she gets her PR card) and then travel back along with me.

She has to live in Canada
If you were already married and she did not update IRCC during the process of her PR , she may not be able to sponsor you

If this was done properly, then she needs to live in Canada and sponsor you - First apply for your PR - After AOR, apply for the work permit

2. First, She should sponsor me for PR and then after getting AOR, I can apply for work permit.

I was looking if there was a shortcut to get work permit if I already have TRV and wife has Co-PR.

So you were included in the PR applications as non accompanying and took the medical? Yes, one she is in Canada she can sponsor you.

That's correct.I was included in her PR application as non-accompanying dependent and my medical test was done.

Yeah, got it. We were thinking if it is possible to apply for sponsorship/work permit after going to Canada and then she can come back (come out of Canada) . Because it will be difficult for her to leave alone until I get work permit.

She needs to remain in Canada during the sponsorship process (except for short visits, week or so) or it will be cancelled. You can go to Canada as a visitor and then she can sponsor you. Then you wait for AOR, and apply for a work permit. Process will take several months so you need to funds to live in Canada without working and private healthcare insurance. Or you wait in home country during the process while she stays in Canada.
