I am from TamilNadu. My husband is on his work permit and he working in Edmonton,Canada.I applied for TRV in New Delhi twice. But Visa is been refused for me both the times.First time,I applied for multiple entry(for 1year since my husband's work permit expires on dec 2009)they gave me the reasons as travel history, family ties in Canada and in your country of residence, length of proposed stay in Canada, your personal assets and financial status, your host in Canada has not demonstrated that he has sufficient funds to support your visit. When I applied for the second time for single entry i provided the following:
1. Indian Bank balance for me for Rs.7 lakhs
2.My husband showed Bank balance of CAD$13,500
3.I said my stay in canada will be for 12 months.
4.I am the only child to my aged parents and property documents of house & land(family ties in India)
5.My husband is in TRV in canada,Wedding card,Photos,Marriage certificate(family ties in canada)
6.No travel history(Passport)
But,again the second time my visa got refused for the same reasons mentioned above. I dont know what else to submit again.I am desperate to visit my husband who left Canada after one week of our marriage. Kindly guide me and provide me with the details at your earliest convenience.

plz help me out..

My husband's friend who is on study permit(expiry on dec 2009) brought her wife on TRV upto dec 2009...we submitted all d documents and my husband is on work permit but v didnt get...My husband has applied for his PR and got an interview in LA on feb 2009...

I am desperate to visit him..
Will it b ok if i attach a letter from his company in my visa appln...

What do you want us to do? CHC has refused to issue you a TRV twice as they feel that your spouse doesn't have sufficient income on his work permit to support both of you in Canada.

- What is the annual salary of your husband? Ask your husband to send you his employment letter mentioning his length of employment, salary amount, also ask him to send you his tax papers if he has already paid the taxes, a letter from his landlord that he is paying the rent and he is a continuous tenant of the place.
Also you apply for 1 month TRV not 1 year.
In the invitation letter ask your husband to write that, it has been a long time that both of you are separated. Due to his employment commitment he can not visit you often. So, you want to visit him for a very short period of time.

From your side, when you apply try to write another letter to the immigration officer. In that letter mention clearly that you were refused two time and the reasons are these (attach copy of the refusal letters). Then mention that how you have changed those conditions. For example, how differently you are submitting your documents.

Try to focus in your application that your main intention is simply meet your husband, visit him and return as soon as possible.

Hopefully everything will be fine. Good luck.

Hi there,
I was in same boat. My wife got refused 2 times. Tell your husband not to apply for TRV. you will get rejected. Till him to apply for open wok permit for you. since he is also on work permit. I was doing same mistake and immigration officer told if we applied again most likely got reject. so according to law if a spouse is on study permit or work permit you partner can come on open work permit thats what i did and she got the visa. if you need further help email me at (omer@techbuy.ca). I will try my best since i been through it i can feel the pain.

You should note that if the OP is on a low skill/semi skill work permit, then the spouse is not entitled to an open work permit.

No, only one exception is if the application is being processed in Canada and you have received Approval in Principal from Vegreville
