trv taking longer than expected - 5 months

Hello guys

I applied for trv using inland forms on 26 april 2016 and flew to pakistan because of an emergency on 5th may. Now its been more than 5 months and my trv is still under process. i don't know why but it seems to be very annoying as I cannot fly back home with my expired trv and they say that your application needs additional verification!!

Please help me what should I be doing!
