Hi. I have a question regarding with the TRV. My husband is a PR in Canada and he applied me for a TRV with OWP online. I already passed the medical but the thing is, I'm so confused with the visa. Can we really apply for TRV and OPW at the same time? And it's been a month now since I passed the medical. I'm starting to get worried because we still haven't heard any response from the CIC yet. I would appreciate all the answers.

I am assuming that your husband applied his PR through a certain program/ I am assuming he is a skilled worker. So yes, this is possible. It's just a matter of waiting now. TRV and OWP for spouses are very common application.

1. Unless you are eligible under one of the International Mobility Programs, i.e. IEC, Swap etc, then as the spouse of a PR you are not eligible for an Open work permit. I am assuming you are outside Canada.

Thank you for your reply guys. He's not a skilled worker. I thought if they've already requested for medical examination means you are eligible and satisfied with the documents that you have passed. At this stage, are they still reviewing the ties, etc..?

You applied for PR outland. You're not eligible for an OWP at all. Only those who apply inland are eligible for an OWP. The OWP is going to be refused.
