Hi everyone

I'm in Canada on a Post Grad work permit (valid till December 2018). I applied for a visitor visa for my wife and requested visa for the duration of my work permit. We had submitted all the required documents such as (Bank statements, wedding certificate, my employment letter, pay stubs, invitation letter)

Unfortunately the visa was rejected with the below reason

Given economic conditions, employment prospects, considering your travel history, economic establishment and family ties, I am not satisfied that you would respect the terms of your admission as a temporary resident in Canada.

Since the reason was unclear, we requested the visa officer's notes through an ATIP request and got the below reply.

Considering economic conditions and employment prospects in home country, and taking into account factors including your travel history, economic establishment and family ties, I am not satisfied that you would respect the terms of your admission as a temporary resident in Canada.

My wife had only traveled to Singapore before (eVisa was attached to the application)

Any inputs on how to make the application stronger would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Rahul

What evidence did you submit as part of the application to demonstrate your wife's ties to her home country?

Had mentioned in the letter of explanation that her parents are in India and that she'd be returning once her visa expires.

Parents aren't regarded as a tie. If that's all that was provided, this is likely one of the reasons her application was refused. She needs to provide real ties such as property owned, proof of other assets, proof of bank accounts, proof of employment.
