I have questions about the requirements for a trv. I am a Canadian married and living in Mexico. My wife is Mexican and we want to go to Canada this summer. We have done the online survey and have a checklist. Now my questions are.

1:What do I need to show as her financial supporter? (She doesn't work)

2:Do we need to give a daily itinerary as the checklist asks for itinerary.? How detailed does it have to be? For every day,hour.....?

3: My mother and I have both written invitation letters. Do we both need to provide bank statements?

4: Although my wife isn't working, she has some investments. Does she need to show them or as I am her financial supporter are mine enough?

Also in the eligibility survey there is a question that asks this-

Are you accompanying a family member that has status in Canada, or has recently been approved to come to Canada?

I will be accompanying her and I am a Canadian citizen. BUT in the options there is no option to choose Canadian citizen or passport holder. So are they trying to ask if she will be going to Canada with another non citizen?

I would appreciate any help possible. Thanks

Bank statements, letter of employment, etc.

You don't need to show it, but it helps. If you are giving it then be as detailed as possible (some do give it as accurate as hours).

Just you.

Depends on how good yours are. They won't hurt though.

They are not trying to ask that, they are asking that in a very specific way.

OK, now.....

In the first page there is a "do you have a family member which bla bla bla". This is what is important. She is your wife, so the application becomes super easy and straight forward, basically you just have to show the marriage certificate and write an invitation letter. Also don't forget to mention that she is a dependant. Try it.

Correct.

Don't look for interpretations, stick to what is asked. If you start interpreting the application will become much more complex.

If she says YES what options there are for "someone"?

Itinerary is optional, but it will help satisfy the CIC's requirement of "Purpose of Visit". A lot of people wonder why they got denied under "Purpose of Visit" when their spouse is just simply visiting them. But if you have a clear plan what you're going to do, then it should meet that requirement.

Hello,
I know its interruption in your conversation but I am dying to know that do I need to submit Travelling Insurance with my application for TRV?
I mean why should one buy insurance if one does not know whether one would get visa or not?
and i am dependent of my husband is it sufficient to mention in the form that i am house wife and
in cover letter and invitation letter that my husband would finance my all expenses?

You don't need to, but it adds to your case.

Define sufficient. It is needed that you state your current situation.
