Hello. My application was rejected yesterday. They marked the next boxes: travel history, length of proposed stay in Canada, purpose of visit and personal assets and financial status and the other reasons box where it says: Your host's invitation noted, however you have not satisfied me that you are well established and you have strong ties in your country to return.

I sent an online application from Venezuela with a work letter where it says im working in that hospital since last year and my monthly payment, a letter from my university where it says im a posgrade surgery resident and i will finish in 2020. Bank statements from 4 month with 5 high numbers, also the invitiation letter from my boyfriend who is a Canadian citizen and proof of relationship whit a lot of pictures of june 2017 when he came to visit me and some of our conversations.

I dont know if this is happening for the political situation we are living now in Venezuela, but im not planning to stay more than 21 days in Canada. I have to work and to finish my posgrade here. Im planning to reaply but i would like to have some advices to know what can i do to have an approval. Thank you so much for your help.

IMO, the Canadian boyfriend with lots of pictures indicates your ties to Canada are probably stronger than they like to see. The concern will be you won't return to Venezuela. The current situation there probably doesn't help much either as I am sure (at least in my own mind) that IRCC has probably seen a spike in applications from Venezuela for everything from TRVs to refugee applications.

Would agree. Unlikely to get at TRV from Venezuela due to the political situation and the spike in asylum cases. Sorry!

Hello, I'm from Ottawa and my wife lives in Margarita island. I was just about to go see her in Lima, Peru and avoid travelling to Venezuela cause too dangerous for me as a canadian. Now avianca and two more other airlines all stopped flying in and out cause the election is this weekend.

We're legally married since last September 23,2016. Got married in Buenos Aires, Argentina and spent seven long weeks with her. Made alot of sacrifices. I wish i applied sooner for sponsorship but I didn't want to rush it cause I wanted to make good income first. Now that i'm ready and have steady job, Venezuela about to collapse even more. Scared Venezeula going to turn into North Korea and Cuba and no one can leave the country. My status relationship is "Married". Is my status and case stronger than TRV and refugee applicant?

A Venezuelan guy i spoke to on canadavisa actually arrived to Toronto two months ago and his case seems much weaker than mine. And he got to canada in less than 10 months before the protest started to happen.

You should post in the Family Class forum instead. But as long as your relationship is bona fide, you have nothing to worry about.
