TRV Rejected, what now

Hi forum,
anyone with some advice would be greatly appreciated... here's the lowdown.
I am a canadian citizen and have been with a mexican citizen for almost 4 years. I was originally in the process
of having her apply for Citizenship in Canada to live with me up there. The immigration officers told me that it would
be better to have her apply in Mexico, as it would allow her to come and go to and from Canada more freely while the
application is in process... However, while down here the new immigration law has passed forcing mexican citizens to require
a visa to enter Canada. The toughest part is that there is absolutely no support for information here, as the embassies and
consulates are no help, and my sister (in Canada) was told that there is "no way" to contact the Canadian officers for help.
So we gave up and decided to have her apply for a temporary resident visa to come up to canada to at the very least
get information on what to do next. (we have barely been apart in 4 years, and i need to go back to Canada soon).
Long story shorter, we are trying to do everything completely by the book, and follow every rule we are told. She applied
for the visa and today we got a letter back notifying us of the rejection.
the grounds for the rejection were:
"length of stay and purpose of visit not meeting requirements": included were a copy of the itinerary and purchased online plane tickets, and a full page letter explaining why she is coming to Canada
"limited employment prospects in country":
included were many copies of employment letters and a detailed job summary, she does not work in mexico, but for Royal Caribbean
"personal assets and financial status": on Cruise ships you are paid in cash, and being 25 years old, she lives with her parents, as
most Mexican citizens her age.
Anyways, the case says closed, but i am a bit upset. As these cases cannot be contested, it is obvious that the information (there
was a lot of it) was not properly considered. Most obviously that the length of stay was questioned when the return plane ticket
information whas included.
any advice would be appreciated as we are dumbstruck by the rejection.
thanks in advance
matt

hi.. i am from latin america i am 25
i was in a similar situation before and got a TVR for visitor rejected...
not proof of fund.. and not evidence that i was going to come back
so i applied again....

so what i did is to put all the paper they ask about my parents finances and a letter saying they were going to support me while i was there.. and also the things from me like a certification from my bank with proof of movement of money on my account...

a letter from my employer saying how muh i make and hw long my vacaction can last..

then i took the legal rules for jobs from my country... written there in my case said tha if i miss job for 3 days i cannot apply for a public work for 2 years
i started a 100% online course.. and got a certificate that i was studing..

and i got my TVR ...

i am not an expert on this but thats what i´ve done.. i hope is helpfull

just don't give up, apply again; make each and every letter more in detail with more proof of funds and/or her going back to Mexico
give a copy of the rejection reasons and attach extra proof that they were wrong

maybe it will not be even the same person who will process ur file; u never know until u try; just be patient and try again; good luck:)
