Hi all,
We are Indian nationals
My Dad and mom are in Saudi Arabia for the past 22 years. I got accepted in an Ontario university hence my family decided to accompany me. Since my sister is doing her BDS internship in India, my dad applied separately for her in India and separately for the 3 of us( TRV for dad and mom and study permit for me) in Saudi.

My sister applied for a TRV on July 9 ,
biometrics completed on July 12,
correspondence letter on July 22
visa rejected on July 24.

Reasons:
*based on the purpose of your visit.
• based on your personal assets and financial status.
• based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

But none of this makes sense,
Purpose: My sister along with my dad and mom will accompany me to transition to the university.
Personal assets and financial status : we submitted a company sponsorship letter( for my university and living expenses) , parent sponsorship letter( my dad will sponser her stay), my dads salary certificate , bank statement of my dad( with steady flow of income), booking details of flights and hotels.
My dad and mom are in Saudi Arabia for the past 22 years

Family ties in Canada and in country of residence: her university details and enrollment proof( she is doing her BDS internship in a well recognized university) along with some other particulars. How will she not return back if she is still doing her UG in India

Kindly help us with your valuable suggestions
Thank you so much!

Since all of you are applying to come to Canada at the same time, IRCC has concerns you have plans to remain in Canada long term. You should travel to Canada on your own on the study permit (without the rest of your family). After you have been in Canada for 6-8 months, your parents and sister can try applying for a visitor visa again for a short visit (2-3 weeks).

Hi Thank you for your reply. I do get it but isn’t there any other workaround. For example: what if a family wants to attend a wedding , will they be deferred entry too... moreover our travel history is pretty good with clean records. Kindly advise.

They can certainly reapply now. But I think it will be another refusal. You should travel several months ahead of them.

Saying they have a wedding won't increase their chances of approval.

Did u get result about your own and parents ?

Why does your sister need to accompany you to University? Not a strong purpose of travel. It isn’t clear from your post whether your parents were approved or denied.

Its better that you go to canada first. When you are in canada make a invitation and sign it by notary public and send it to your parents. This will increase the chances.
We still hope that you will get it this time.

Hi all ,
By the grace of Lord Almighty, my visa and my parents’ visas have been approved. To all those still waiting , there is nothing you can do by worrying but if you keep your worries in prayer, you will for sure be blessed with much needed peace.
