Hi,

My wife and little kid got visitor visa stamped on their passports back in 2013 (valid till 2015).
It shows MULTIPLE (number of entries) and V-1 VISITOR (category).

However, when they entered Canada, they got a stamp on passport for six months.
I applied for extension (IMM5708) and got it approved. However received document with title VISITOR RECORD (with expiry till 2015 and case type 10) and it shows at the bottom
THIS DOES NOT AUTHORIZE RE-ENTRY

What will be in effect when they leave and re-enter; original visa stamped on passport (multiple) or this visitor record (which shows not authorized to re-enter)?

Will I have to apply for their re-entry visa separately (possibly IMM5257)?

Thanks for your help in advance,

PS: I am on Work Permit in Canada

1. Its apples and oranges. They have TRVs that allow them to apply for entry to Canada until 2015. They have a visitor permit that allows them to remain in Canada till 2015. If they leave Canada, the visitor permit expires, the TRV doesn't and they use the TRV to re-enter Canada.
