TRV question for emploer letter

Hi all,

We are thinking of asking for a TRV while we wait for the PR to process. In the TRV forms, it says that my wife will have to obtain a letter from her employer stating that she can take extended vacation (more than 3 month). Does anyone know any convincing arguments to convince an employer to write a letter for an extended vacation. Plus, is it true that the inviter can just send the invitation letter and other documents by email as an attachment and not send by postal mail.

Invitation can be send as PDF attachment ( or any printable format ) of e mail, to the the invitee from the mail box of invitor.

If any original document or certified copy of document is required that should be sent by post or courier.
