TRV: proof of return / proof of ties to home county

Hello,

When a family is applying for visitors visa, and each family member has to fill the forms.. does each family member (father, mother, son, daughter etc) have to show proof of return? and ties to home country? or just one proof of return (eg from the father) is sufficient? please advice.. thanks
