TRV passport processing time

Hi guys,
I had mailed my passport request to Ottawa on Oct 5th, and when i called CIC to confirm, they said they received the passport on Oct 11. I am wondering how long does it take to get the passport back for TRV inside Canada, as i have flight booked for OCT 26th and i cannot track my passport on Canada post.

You must have sent sent through priority post or private post e.g Fedex. I would recommend to change your traveling plan as they are taking forever to process the final application.

I sent it by xpress Canada post . So shouldn't take that long as they requested for passport in less than a week.

Well they are taking 3 weeks to send back the passports. I know it shouldn't take more than one week but I guess they received several applications and according to CIC, the processing time depends on type and number of applications they've received.
I guess in the case of private courier service, passports are sent directly to the processing centers that's why it is fast and quick.

I applied for trv on oct 14 and received approval on nov 6. They have received my passport on nov 7 and i am still waiting for any response from them.

passport request 02 November
passport submitted on same day and received on 6th of November
application approved on 17th november 2017
tracker activated same day 17th november 2017
passport received on 20th november

roughly process time is about a month.
