Hi, I have applied for visitor visa as my post graduate work permit has been expired.
Right now, I'm staying in Canada as implied status but I have a question about travelling.
I would like to visit London, UK to meet my family and I was wandering if I could re-enter Canada through eTA.
I'm a citizen of visa-exempt country, but I'm afraid I cannot re-enter Canada with eTA after the travel.
Does anyone had similar experience with me? Please suggest me anything...
Thanks.

If you are from a visa-exempt country how have you:

"applied for visitor visa as my post graduate work permit has been expired"?

Anyway, if you are indeed from a visa exempt country then you are not eligible to have a TRV (contradiction), thus eTA is your only option.

I was a international student who graduated from Canadian university.
After my graduation, I obtained post graduate work permit and now it has been expired.
I have applied for visitor visa last month to extend my stay as a visitor from Canada.
My only concern is that I cannot re-enter Canada through eTA because CIC agent told me that she cannot 100% guarantee of re-entering Canada without receiving visitor visa. I just want to make sure I could re-enter Canada after travelling. Any thoughts on this...?

You applied for visitor status, not a visitor visa. Visitor status ends as soon as you leave Canada.

An eTA just allows you to board a commercial carrier to travel to Canada. It has nothing to do with entry into Canada.

As you were told by CIC, there is never a guarantee that you will be allowed re-entry into Canada. Only Canadian citizens and PRs have the right of entry. CBSA may refuse entry to any temporary resident, regadress of what permit or visa they hold.
