TRV on privies passport

I live in ON Canada . I’m on work permit .
My previous passport is valid until May 2020 ,
there for I got a new passport and I have renewed my work permit recently and got the permit (document) .
Im planing to travel back home on coming December ,
I have a TRV multiple on my previous passport it’s valid until May 2020 but
When I got the new passport older one is got canceled .
Can’t I travel back home and come back using the older passport TRV !???
Or I have to apply a new TRV for my new passport? It’s a great help if someone can advise me about this matter. Thank you.

You don't need a new TRV. Travel with both passports.

Hi, is simply since you still have your old passport with you so travel with the two passport to show your previous visa entry stamps
