Dear Leon !

I have the following question .

I landed in April 2011 in Canada ,We are Indian nationals with middle east (ME)resident visas . Our child was born outside Canada in ME with Indian passport. We requested TRV for her and was successfully issued by the Embassy(vistors Visa Mutiple) . Now i have the following questions and concern,

1. Once we go back all family members to Canada in coming days with full RO as two years are still left for all of us along with our new born child to whom we will apply for Family Class immigration process. DO we need to take care of any issues such as If we take all our money in the form of Bank Drafts and declare it at immigration or it will be better to send money through Bank Transfer directly to our accounts .
2. Is it possible if my wife will remain in Canada and apply for our child’s PR or we both should be there to hold the RO of both of us. I have to return back to ME as I have to make the final settlement with my employer which may extend to 6 more months and my Plan is to move back after six months and cancel by ME visa only after PR is issued to my child .
3. I remember I was having some name problem(flag) on my name and I never get my boarding card from the self-service computer unless I meet the Ticketing officer .Will it make any issues for me after coming back from Canada and going to Canada permanently after 6 months .
4. We are planning to put our children in schools and want to buy some property for our living in Canada which makes our RO strong.
5. Can I renew my PR card after 2..5 years which means when I come back to Canada after six month my PR validity will be only 1.5 years and to keep RO I will be staying without PR validity till 6 months and will renew my PR card only after these six month and stay in Canada to keep RO intake.
6. I will keep the ME residence visa for all my family members so that i can avail emergency Medical insurance coverage from my sponsor in M.E for my Child on TRV in Canada also i will not be in position to cancel their visa till a PR is issued for my Child. Please let me know if this can make any issues for me.
7. Please send me the link for the application Package for my Child to apply in the family class. Does it need HC form also .I will be settling in Calgary .
Your help will be appreciated .

Thanks and Regards

I'm not Leon, but I'm going to reply your questions:

1) Is there a personal need to do so - such as buying cars, properties? If not, it is not necessary to bring all your funds to Canada. You would just need to declare those funds (if exceeding $10,000) in your annual tax return. Better to set up HSBC Premier accounts in both countries which will becomes handy if you need to transfer funds from one country to the other.
2) Yes, it's possible. In case if your wife meet RO and you don't, your wife can always reapply to sponsor you for PR.
3) I don't see this would be a problem if you flown in the past with such issue.
4) Buying properties doesn't make your RO strong.
5) Don't renew your PR card until you meet your RO.
6) Non-issue

Sorry to bother u more and thanks for your quick reply !
1. Please suggest me if I move to canada after 6 months which means after 3.5 years from the date of landing and will move to canada permanently after 6 months and will not renew my PR card until I stay two years which means 6 months without PR card validity will it make any issues for me when I renew my PR after 2.5 years.
2. I am planning to buy some property in canada can I take all my funds as draft or by direct bank transfer and do I need to declare bank draft while entering .is there any tax issues with the money which I bring along with me in the form of DD or bank transfer.
3.Thanks for sending me the link for application package for my child.Do I need to add humanitarian form also to it . As these forms are for those who live out side canada , but as u know my child will be canada while applying for his/ her PR
4.Do I need to have the return ticket for my child whose TRV was issued or a one sided ticket is Ok

1) I'm not sure what you mean, but there is no issues with not having a valid PR card while living in Canada except you actually need one for applying driver license.
2) Yes, you would need to declare if the amount is greater or equal to $10,000. No tax involve in bringing DD or bank transfer. However, if you didn't declare them and they found out, the DD would be seized and you would be fined.
3) I'm not sure. You can always phone the CIC call centre when your child is with you in Canada.

Sorry to bother you gain ,Please note there was typing mistake on my landing date its basically Aril 2012 and not 2011,Regarding RO I still could not clear my doubt .

1. I am planning to move to Canada in coming days along with all my family members .I am planning to move to Canada just to accompany my family along with my Kids and a kid with TRV ,My spouse will sponsor my Child’s PR and I am not in position to leave my job immediately due to 1. I have an emergency medical coverage for my TRV kid in Canada from my present employer also I have to make settlement with present employer which will take at least six months. Same time I do not want to take any risk till I get a PR for my TRV Child. Please suggest me if I move to Canada after 6 months which means after 3.5 years from the date of landing and will move to Canada permanently after 6 months and will not renew my PR card until I stay two years which means 6 months without PR card validity will it make any issues for me when I renew my PR after 2.5 years.
(If I move to canada after 3.5 years from the date of landing and will stay two years continously which means i will be 6 month in canada without PR validity and then when i reside in canada for two years i will apply for me PR renew - Does it make any isues for my RO or PR renewal)
2.Do I need to have the return ticket for my child whose TRV was issued or a one sided ticket is Ok. Is there any time frame for TRV to enter to Canada or I can travel any time during the period of issue and expiry of TRV

Thanks and Regards
