I came to Canada from India on a work permit (arrived on Oct 12 2013). My visa and work permit are valid till April 16th 2014. My wife and kid arrived in Canada later (November 8 2013), in a visitor visa. Their visa was originally issued till March 16th 2014. Upon requesting at the immigration port of entry, the officer granted them stamping till May 08th 2014. The date is mentioned in the stamping and he has stricked out the visa with blue pen.
My question here is; is their stamping is as valid as a visa ? Why I am asking while returning we will be travelling together via Frankfurt, where a valid canadian visa will be required (no transit visa). In that case, can they show the stamping as a valid canadian visa ?
