hello,

i am a canadian citizen and i want my filipina gf to come and visit me here in cdn. the plan is for her to visit me for a few weeks (max 1 month) and then the two of us travel around s.e. asia.
i want to make sure everything is in order so her application isnt refused, this will be her first time to cdn.

i have a few questions/ concerns..

1. she doesnt have a full time/ permanent job, but does part time work when it comes up, and i send her money when she needs it. not sure how to positively explain this in the application. would this be a problem/ negative?

2. in the invitation letter, i will be explaining that i will completely support her with all her expenses, air ticket and daily expenses. is this sufficient? or will they be wanting to see that she has access to her own account? i can show my bank details and what not..

3. aside from a return ticket, how do i show/prove that she will be leaving at the end of her visit?

4.. we have traveled to hong kong in the past, but they have stopped stamping the passport, and have also traveled to macau and thailand, fingers crossed that this limited travel helps.

we do plan on getting married, but for now, only want her to visit canada

thanks in advance to all replies

It looks bad. She needs to have a permanent job in order to show 1) she has ties to her home country 2) she has a life outside Canada 3) she has a source of income that allows her to travel.

If you show you send her money you are basically making it clear she has intentions to immigrate.

CIC wants to see she can afford the trip. CIC is not interested in your financial status, but hers.

The return ticket is a weak proof. She needs to show she has a life in her home country, that can be proven with a steady job, school enrollment, showing assets or properties, loans, investments, etc.

It helps little. CIC would want to see how she can afford those trips. Again if you have paid for them then that makes it harder to prove she is going back.

TBH I see little chances of getting a TRV. I would suggest you get married and then apply for sponsorship, file for an OWP and a TRV would be a trivial thing.

Good luck.

My last year (2016) income is 45k and have bank balance . I do not have job letter though .

should She get able to get visitor visa based on my last year income and bank balance ?
One of the criteria she needs to meet is to provide proof "SHE" can afford the trip.
