Hi
Myself and my friend would like to visit Canada next year during the Easter holiday period for aprox 2 weeks.
After reading the guidance notes and checking the document checklist I need some guidance with supporting documents.
I think i should explain my and my friends UK Immigration status first.
My immigration and employment status
I got settlement (indefinite leave to remain) in the UK, I am working full time and got family (wife and 3 kids) in the UK.
My friend's immigration and employment status
My friend is a pakistani national and on Study visa in the UK. He is studying in the college on full time basis and only working part time (about 10 hours/week)
I need information about following documents
Required Documents
1)- Do we have to submit a confirmed flight booking with our visa application?
2)- Do we have to submit a confirmed hotel booking with our visa application?
3a)- How many bank statement we have to show for proof of funds?
3b)- I can show £4000 in my bank statement (more than 6 month statements) but my friend is working only part time and he will only be able to show £1500 aprox in his bank statement (He will have only 4 bank statements if we apply in March).
3c)- If I write a letter confirming that we will be travelling together and ll share travel costs, will this solve his bank statement issue?
4)- He can get a letter from college confirming that he is a student there. Is there any other letter he needs from college to strengthen his application?
5)- How he can show that he have got strong ties with UK and he will come back after his visit as he is only a student here? Do he have to show ties with Pakistan as well?
6)- I can show ties with UK as one of my kid is going to school and i got permanent job and my kids are British born.
7)- Can we apply together in a group? if yes then what effect my documents and supporting letter will have on his application?
8)- Do we require a medical insurance for the duration of our trip?
Is there anything else which can help him to get visa as we would like to travel together.
Thanks for your help.
