Hello,

I am a student in UBC, Vancouver with a study permit till 2015 August.

I got married on december 2013. My wife is planning to visit me for a period of march 15 to July 30. We already bought the tickets.

Now we have to apply for TRV. I was wondering if for the part of showing the consulate that she INDEED IS returning to India at the end of trip, is the ticket copy enough? Do I need to show any other document for this?

I willt be graduating 2014 august although I have a work permit till 2015 august.

My wife is unemployed at the moment.

thanks for all your help.

Hi!

I would suggest to read the TRV application guide thoroughly. The air ticket definitely won't be enough to prove that she will come back home. Moreover, it s quite opposite, the CIC suggest NOT to buy any tickets before visa will be approved.
Since she is unemployed, it will be quite difficult to show her ties to her home country and lower her chances for the positive decision. You have to be her sponsor and provide all the necessary documents for that. Also you have to provide the proofs that you have genuine relationship. Don't forget about medical insurance. You don't need to provide this document when applying, but you have to explain how you are going to deal with it, and most likely she will have to show it on the border. It has to be valid for the whole period of stay.
And the last, be aware, that even in case of visa approval, the last decision about the duration of her stay in Canada is up to the immigration officer.

Good luck!
