Hi, I am new to this forum. I have few queries regarding the TRV application of my mother (single parent).

I have recently applied for Canada work permit (with job offer) and TRV for my family (including my spouse and two children). We are yet to receive our visas. On getting visas we will immediately relocate to Canada.

My job offer is temporary and only for one year. Therefore, I wish to invite my mother to visit us in Canada some time soon. In this scenario, is it possible to apply and process a TRV for my mother before we reach Canada.

She is a family pensioner, holds enough bank balance and fixed deposits, and has land possession in her name. She can also produce other supporting documents such as ITR, bank statements, etc.

Also, she has a strong tie in native; my father's mother who is very aged and is currently staying with my mother. During this journey, my grand mother will be taken care by my uncle and family.

However, she does not have any international travel history. This is the very first opportunity she will be getting to travel abroad.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks and regards,
Chinchu Cherian

It’d be better to apply for mom’s TRV after you land. The docs you were alluding to aforesaid look satisfactory.

Glad to see another Keralite :)

I have two more queries Is it advisable to submit TRV Application for my mother as soon as we land in Canada. Or should we wait for another few months after reaching there.

Also, if an application gets rejected on first try, does it have any negative impact during second attempt.

May I know your thoughts please.

It's better to wait a few months. Yes - a rejection typically makes it more difficult for a subsequent application to be approved.

Concur with this.
