Hi! I am applying my in laws in coming here to Canada as visitors. They submitted their application last July 21 (friday) and up to this day, i havent received any email from them. I was just thinking if the payment method i used cause them the delay to start the processing. I used debit visa to pay their fee (as no more manager's cheque accepted). Is anyone of you have an idea about this? Please post here for your July timeline. Thanks

Hello, Gemz0212! I also submitted my paper application in Makati VFS office last July 21 and used my Visa debit card for payment. I haven't received e-mail yet from the CIC though I have received an e-mail from VFS Global basically just informing me that my application is already being processed in the Canada Visa Office. Plus I was able to link my paper application online so I can monitor the progress of my application. As of today, no changes. Maybe it is still too early for them to give the result he he
That's good you were able to link your application through online. I just received my sis-in-laws' text message that they got a notification on their cellphone stating that its on process. My parent's before was email that's why i am expecting it the same way. H
Yes. I received also a text message from VFS. I read in another forum a case wherein she submitted her paper application on July 2 and received only one e-mail from VFS then nothing. She just received an e-mail from CIC on the 21st saying that her passport is already for dispatched by the courier. So it is also possible not to hear from CIC until the result comes out

Ok great! At least i have the assurance that the application was received. My parents application before was really fast. I believe its case to case basis anyway. Ok keep it touch we hope visa will come very soon . God bless
Wow! Amazing. I also got an e-mail from CIC yesterday stating that my application has been updated. Upon checking my account, my status had changed to "Your application was approved". Truly, praise God! Your in-laws and I have the same timeline. I will just have to wait the VFS's e-mail if my passport is with them already
